Our Mission
West Slope Casa, LLC (WSC)
endeavors to improve the lives of those affected by alcohol and drug
addiction on the western slope of Colorado. Contracting with the most
qualified, licensed substance abuse treatment providers on Colorado's Western
Slope, WSC provides evidence-based, culturally-sensitive treatment by removing
transportation barriers, providing affordable care, and establishing linkages
in the community for adjunct supportive services.
West Slope Casa is the Designated Managed Service
Organization
for Colorado’s Western Slope
-
WSC has an established, experienced network of subcontractor-providers who
deliver the Colorado Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department (ADAD) defined continuum
of substance abuse treatment care, with related services, in 41 licensed
offices located over the 44,000 square miles of mountainous and desert terrain
(see map, below.)
-
The continuum of care on the Western Slope includes Intensive Residential,
Women’s Residential, men’s and women’s Halfway Houses, Special Connections for
Pregnant Women, Specialized Women’s Services, offender services (Strategies for
Self-Improvement and Change), HIV Prevention, DUI Level I and Level II, and a
large variety of outpatient programs for adults and youth.
-

West Slope Casa providers have a century’s worth of
experience in providing or arranging for substance abuse and behavioral health
services in the public sector.
-
Substance abuse providers are an integral part of local culture, with
longstanding presence in their communities and strong ties to community
stakeholders.
-
A sliding fee scale is offered to assist in access to care; payment is accepted
from clients and private insurance. Providers work very hard at acquiring
additional funding from stakeholders, grants, municipalities, and other
government contracts.
-
Persons with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues can be
treated in an integrated fashion by all WSC providers, in cooperation with the
three community mental health centers who are part of the provider panel.
-
Residential referrals are handled by local offices so clients will already know
the clinicians they’ll be returning to for continuing care.
-
Providers have extensive experience in arranging for, and providing services to
child welfare, temporary aid for needy families (TANF), and criminal justice
populations, with long-standing referral and treatment relationships with local
departments of social services, probation, and other human services agencies
-
The three community mental health centers manage section 8 housing and have
experience in working with homeless shelters and housing authorities for those
clients who need assistance with housing.

$75 per year.
